General College Contributions

With the agreement of this college's community it is intended to seek from parents and guardians a General College Contribution. Funds raised through this contribution will be used to supplement educational resources and programs in our college.

It is stressed that payment of the General College Contribution is a matter for decision by individual parents and guardians and is entirely voluntary. Our college would welcome your contribution as this will significantly enhance the resources made available to students.

The funds generated by the General College Contribution will be retained by the college and may be supplemented by other college activities and funds raised by parent organisations for the benefit of students.

Set out below are details of our General College Contribution and an outline of the manner in which funds may be expended.

Finally, while the importance of your contribution is stressed in the context of our college's overall finances, all parents are assured that no embarrassment or discrimination will occur in our college as a result of non-payment of the contribution. Should you wish, I will be pleased to discuss difficulties with you including exemptions, support and options for payment by installments.

The General College Contribution for 2010 has been set at $70.00*.
A (refundable) book bond amount has been set at $50.00.

It is anticipated that the funds raised will be expended upon the following:
  • additional resources and course materials
  • examination papers and student reports
  • consumables and photocopying
  • Awards and Certificates
  • newsletters and notices
  • Course and Assessment Handbooks
  • technology and software
  • sport equipment and resources for student use
  • complimentary College Year Book

Subject Materials Contribution
Our college seeks your support in contribution to the costs of some materials used and consumed by students in the course of their compulsory studies. These are voluntary payments that will assist the college in providing additional benefits to students. Should parents have difficulty making these payments for subject materials, they should contact me for support from the Student Assistance Scheme where possible.

If you have any concerns about the details of this letter, please contact me.

I would like to conclude by stressing the importance of your contribution to the finances of our college. All parents or guardians are assured that no embarrassment or discrimination will occur in our college as a result of non-payment of the contribution.

Thank you in anticipation of your support.
